Point indicator in ARTC Terretory Rail Infrastructure |
|
|
|---|
| Even,
This photo is a points indicator, in ARTC Track Control, it is telling you that the points are set for the main in Parkeston, they do not have signals, even though they look like them, if it is Green the points are set for the straight, if yellow, it means the points are set for the loop, and if it is Red it means the points are moving, notice the R under the signal stand, which means it is a REPEATER indicator and telling you what the switch is doing at the entrance to Parkeston. As of Maratarna Bridge in Kalgoorlie, becomes ARTC. The last signal in Westnet terretory is in fact a Starter signal, as you are starting into another controlled service track access terretory. To be technical I guess you could call it a signal but its real name is a points indercator. Hope this helps your learning on your trip.

| Great to see those coaches back on the mainline even if it is just for a short time. They would also look great behind S549. Great photos Evan.
